Description

Pantoprazole 40mg and Domperidone 30mg Tablets is a combination medication that includes Domperidone and Pantoprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic and anti-nausea agent that helps alleviate indigestion and stomach discomfort. Pantoprazole, a proton pump inhibitor, reduces excessive stomach acid production by inhibiting the enzyme H+/K+ ATPase, also known as the gastric proton pump. This combination is commonly used to manage peptic ulcers and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). It works by preventing acid secretion in the stomach and providing relief from conditions such as inflammation of the oesophagus (esophagitis), GERD, and heartburn.  

How Do Pantoprazole 40mg and Domperidone 30mg Tablets Work?

Pantoprazole, on the other hand, decreases stomach acid by blocking the gastric proton pump found in stomach wall cells, thereby preventing acid secretion that can damage the food pipe, stomach, and duodenum. 

Domperidone enhances the movement of food through the stomach and digestive tract, reducing bloating, fullness, and indigestion. Additionally, it blocks signals from the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) in the brain, which is responsible for nausea and vomiting.

This medication should be taken as directed by a healthcare professional. Like any medicine, Pantoprazole 40mg and Domperidone 30mg Tablets may cause side effects, though not everyone experiences them. • To maximize effectiveness and minimize irritation, it is best to avoid caffeine-containing drinks (coffee, tea), processed or deep-fried foods, carbonated beverages, and acidic foods such as citrus fruits and tomatoes.
